Our Winter Rendezvous to Mackinac Island

Greetings from Graham Real Estate Good Hart!

Last week we were fortunate to visit Michigan’s Crown Jewel on a bright sunshiny day.  Only 3.8 square miles, the island welcomes over a million tourists each summer, but very few have the opportunity to experience the winter season.

We captured a few photos during our Mackinac adventure that we wanted to share (link below).

You’ll likely notice a vehicle in one image which many wonder about.  The white pick-up is actually a utility vehicle belonging to Cloverland Electric, and is part of a small fleet of motorized vehicles serving the island including fire trucks, an ambulance, police cruiser, and of course a snow plow for servicing the roads.  In addition to these motorized vehicles for emergency services, the island also welcomes the use of registered snowmobiles.  You’ll notice posted speed signs all along M-185’s Main Street, which are present only in the winter months for the snowmobile traffic.

Enjoy the photos and I look forward to speaking with you soon, or better yet seeing you here in Good Hart.
